Jack Miller, along with a team of academic and nonprofit foundation experts, began working with scholars in 2004 in response to mounting evidence that college graduates– the future leaders of our country–lacked the knowledge of America’s founding principles and history necessary to be informed and engaged citizens. The Jack Miller Center for Teaching America’s Founding Principles and History (the “JMC”) became an independent nonprofit, nonpartisan 501c(3) private operating foundation in October 2007.
The JMC is dedicated to enriching education in America’s founding principles and history. They are a unique resource for higher education in the United States. They provide a wide variety of ongoing programs and support services to a growing network of college professors who want to expand opportunities for their students to learn about American history, government, and political thought.
