Katie Baron joined the Jack Miller Family Foundation in 2014 as Senior Administrative Assistant and currently serves as Grants Manager. Katie is responsible for a combination of grants management as well as operational and program related duties, including pre- and post-award grants administration, grants database management, and Foundation administrative duties.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Katie worked as the Development and Marketing Assistant of Our Children’s Homestead, a foster care and adoption agency in Naperville, IL. Among her many responsibilities, Katie wrote grant proposals, arranged travel logistics for case workers, and assisted the Vice President of Development and Marketing with fundraisers, including a yearly gala and silent auction.

Before working in the non-profit sector, Katie worked on both coasts in various legal departments and a family law office, as well as teaching in a variety of capacities. She holds a BA in English from Roberts Wesleyan College and an MA in English Literature from Bowling Green State University.

Outside of Foundation work, Katie spends her time discovering new stories in a number of genres and formats, acting as a sous chef for her friends’ culinary adventures, and enjoying her status as an auntie.
